Last Sunday, I had the pleasure of trying the all-new Café Mimosa as their guest! Café Mimosa is a brand new brunch place in the Plateau, on Boul. St-Laurent (in between Prince-Arthur and Sherbrooke). The place itself is beautiful and reminds me of a terrasse but indoors. They offer a bunch of different brunch dishes, from classics to original dishes and sweet to savoury (and even both in one dish too!).
For my part, I opted for the Mimosa Eggs Benedict – poached eggs, bacon, pulled pork, ham, old cheddar, caramelized onions, beans and guacamole on English muffin (with beans and guac on the side) – and Jay opted for the Magic Mushroom Cassolette – grated sweet potato and potato, sunny side up egg, portobello mushrooms, white button mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, spinach, emmental cheese and parmesan cheese. Both dishes were very good and we highly enjoyed them. I loved the sweetness that the caramelized onions and pulled pork brought to the dish and I loved the grated potatoes in the cassolette dish. We also accompanied our meal with a mimosa and it was the perfect pairing.
Thanks for having us!
