My favorite dishes: Elounda special, scallops
A few months ago, just before COVID-19 happened, I had the pleasure of trying out Elounda with my mom, as their guests. Elounda is named after a beautiful Greek town of the same name and offers a wide variety of Greek and Mediterranean specialties. Fish, seafood, lamb – you name it – they’ve got it. Elounda is located in Ville-Saint-Laurent, close by Côte-Vertu Metro station. Here are the dishes we got to try:
- Elounda special: eggplant, zucchini, tzatziki & saganaki
- Mixed grilled vegetables
- Scallops
- Grilled Tunisian octopus
- Whole grilled Mediterranean porgy (dorade royale)
- Fruit salad
- Atlantis white, 2018

We enjoyed a really lovely evening at Elounda, filled with dishes from the sea. My first favorite was the scallops dish, which consisted of deep-fried scallops, covered in a creamy white wine and dill sauce and accompanied by a medley of roasted veggies. The scallops were to die for and that creamy sauce was too good to be true. I also loved the Elounda special, with its super thin slices of fried eggplant and zucchini, tzatziki and fried cubes of saganaki. Delicious!
The mixed grilled vegetables were a great compliment to everything else and perfectly grilled. The octopus was nice and tender and nicely grilled too, and the Mediterranean porgy was beautifully presented and cooked too. We accompanied our meal with a perfect Greek white wine and finished it off with a refreshing and light fruit salad.
If you’re in the area and looking for a great spot to enjoy any kind of seafood, Elounda will surely meet your needs. They also have many market price dishes and seasonal produce for you to enjoy too, like oysters, crab, lobster and more. Enjoy!
